THEATER POLICIES

If you need assistance or have ticket-related questions, please email BoxOffice.StageLeft@gmail.com or call 509-838-9727

We understand plans can change - we would be happy to help you find another performance if you can't make your original date!

  • Please let us know at least 24 hours before your scheduled performance so we can assist you with a free exchange.
  • Exchanges can be made for another performance of the same production or the next show of the same type (core / main stage OR festival).
  • If the new tickets cost more, you will only pay the difference (no additional fees)
  • If the new tickets cost less, the difference will not be refunded - but we would be happy to get you a donation receipt for the difference.

All ticket sales are final. Should you be unable to attend, please consider the following choices:

  • Exchange to another date. Let us know if you need to exchange to another performance of the same production (see Exchanges above)
  • Gift your tickets. Feel free to pass your tickets on to a friend - give the gift of live performance and support local arts at the same time!
  • Support the theatre. Prefer to turn your unused tickets into a tax-deductible donation? We extend our gratitude! Your contribution helps fund our productions, education programs, and outreach initiatives - please just let us know ahead of time.

We only offer refunds if a performance is canceled and not rescheduled.

However, we understand that life happens. In the event of unexpected illness, family loss, or emergency situations, contact the Box Office and we will help how we can:

509-838-9727 or BoxOffice.StageLeft@gmail.com

To be proactive, our Box Office attempts to call patrons 5 minutes before show start to confirm expected attendance. Please be sure to include your phone number when securing tickets online.

We always do our best to seat our patrons even when they are late.

We know that parking and traffic can sometimes get in the way of punctuality. Latecomers will be asked to wait in the lobby or along the side of the theater until a suitable break between scenes to take their assigned seats.

Out of respect for fellow audience members and the performers, children under 6 years of age are not permitted in the theatre during performances.

In general, performance content at Stage Left is recommended for patrons age 14 and older, but please use discretion and review content advisories by show.

Please turn off all electronic devices including phones, watches, computers and tablets before the performance.

The use of cameras and recording devices is strictly prohibited during performances.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Please reach us at BoxOffice.StageLeft@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Stage Left is located on the ground floor with our entrance into the lobby easily accessible for all patrons. Bathrooms are fully ADA / wheelchair-accessible from the main lobby.

All performances offer ADA and companion seating in Row A (front row).

For guests using mobility devices, please inform the Box Office so we can remove your Row A seat in advance or to request assistance for transfer into your seat.

Because accessible seating is limited, we encourage you to book your tickets in advance and let the Box Office know about any specific needs so we can make your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible!

NOTE - 3rd Avenue is an eastbound one-way. It's best to approach from west to east.

From the North:

Drive south on Division (US-2) until it turns into Browne, turn right onto 2nd Avenue, then a quick left on McClellan or Howard to reach 3rd Ave (the theater is on the left).

From the South:

Drive north down Grand Blvd curving left until it turns into Washington, turn right onto 3rd Ave and follow it down a couple of blocks (if you pass Browne / Division, you went too far!)

From the East:

Take I-90 West to Exit 281 (S. Division), turn left onto 2nd Avenue, then a quick left on McClellan or Howard to reach 3rd Ave.

From the West:

Take I-90 East to Exit 280 (Lincoln St) and stay right to merge onto 4th Avenue, then turn left onto Monroe or Washington, then take a right onto 3rd Ave.

By Bus:

Bus routes 4, 27, 45, and 247 stop near the theater.

Visit spokanetransit.com for route maps and schedules or use the interactive trip finder to arrive at 108 W. 3rd Ave.

Stage Left is located downtown on 3rd Avenue near the intersection of Browne. Metered street parking is available outside the building on 3rd and nearby streets like McClellan.

Additional public angled parking is available across the street near Hope House.

Please allow a few extra minutes to find a parking spot, especially on weekends and during other Spokane events.

Our concessions bar is open one (1) hour before curtain and during intermission. You can take any beverage you purchase from us into the theater to enjoy during the performance. We offer a selection of individually packaged local food and beverages.

For an even smooth experience, we recommend pre-ordering your intermission drinks and snacks so they are ready when you are!

Outside food or drink are not permitted at this time.

Stage Left Theater is located in the heart of downtown Spokane, surrounded by many dining options within a mile radius.

Consider a meal at a local downtown Spokane restaurant prior to your performance!

PLAY-SELECTION & PAYMENTS

Please reach us at Production.StageLeft@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes!

We consider plays from anywhere in the world. Some of our playwright festivals are only for regional (Pacific Northwest) or local (Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area), but most of our work is not limited by geography.

We produce plays ranging from 1-2 hours long.

We are not currently accepting new musicals.

Submissions should contain page count and cast size on the cover page of your submission.

Your file (pdf or doc) should be labeled with the title of your play followed by your name (ie: "MyAwesomeShow_JDoe.pdf" or "MyStory_JaneDoe.doc")

You may choose to add a brief description of the play on the cover as well-- Exciting us with the theme of your play entices us to read yours first!

Yes!

All Main Stage shows produced will be contracted between Stage Left Theater and the playwright.

Select playwright festivals and special events are contracted as well.

Yes!

All actors who perform on our main stage productions (as well as all production team members and crew, and all designers) share in a Tip Pool collected during the run of their show and split evenly after closing night!

When possible, Stage Left likes to give an additional stipend to thank participants for their time and energies - just a little something to help toward parking, child-care, and offset costs. Amounts may vary based on role.

Audition notices will be featured on our Home Page and are posted on our social media 2-6 weeks before the audition. Currently, some auditions are in-person, while others require a short video recording being sent in.

Navigate to the "Join Us" pages of our website for more information!
