Empower, an aptly named celebration of female empowerment, is an entirely female-led virtual production by Stage Left Theater. Empower features ten new works by female playwrights from all over the world.
Inspired by the photography of Crystal Madsen, this selection of new works is inspired by the real-life women who have learned to embrace and unveil their power through boudoir photography.
Empower will premier at no cost on Saturday, June 26th at 7PM on our Vimeo page (the link can be found at the top of this page).
Stage Left Theater Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and relies on the generosity of our patrons to keep our mission alive. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please visit https://stagelefttheater.org/donate-1

Stage Left Theater is founded on the belief that live theater provides a mechanism for interpersonal interaction not provided by television and movies, that it should be a force for political, intellectual and social stimulation, and should be relevant to the daily lives of the audience and the players. We seek to broaden the involvement of the general population by engaging issues of topical value and stimulating the analysis and discussion of the structure and goals of society.
Stage Left Theater Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in the state of Washington. It was founded in December, 2011 with the goal of providing an alternative theater experience in Spokane. Our current venue, formerly a retail space, was purchased in January, 2012, by Stage Left Properties LLC, and was renovated to serve as a theater. This work was completed in early 2013, whereupon it was leased to Stage Left Theater Association. We produce 7 Mainstage Productions, 6 FOLIO Readers Theaters, and 4 Playwright Festivals every season.
Stage Left stands with members of all marginalized, oppressed, brutalized communities in their fight for equality and justice. At the center of everything we do is JUSTICE. We hope you walk away from each of our productions feeling inspired and motivated to help create change in the world and in your community.
