"Since 1990, we've been driven by a desire to create positive benefits and lasting change for underserved communities."
– Jo Ann Kauffman, President and Founder
Founded in 1990, Kauffman & Associates, Inc., is an American Indian– and woman-owned management consulting firm dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable populations and enhancing the reach and effectiveness of social sector organizations. We combine stories of lived experiences with meaningful, data-driven insights to reach underserved communities. Our expertise spans diverse specialty areas, including public health, education, and economic development. We work closely with federal, tribal, state, and regional governments; associations; foundations; and private-sector businesses. At KAI, we do work that matters.
Spokane Arts supports arts and culture in the region through grant-making, programming, advocacy, and professional development. We foster creativity by providing direct support to individuals, groups, and organizations in the creative sector, and we promote local arts and culture to the wider community.
Our small but mighty staff loves supporting creatives, beautifying our city for all who live here, and creating opportunities for community members to engage with arts and culture of all types. Every day, we support creatives by providing funding, resources, and training. We shine the spotlight on what’s happening in arts and culture so that everyone in the region has an opportunity to see, make, learn, play and engage.
ArtsWA is the Washington State Arts Commission. We are a state agency, formed by the Washington State Legislature in 1961. Our mission is to nurture and support the role of the arts in the lives of all Washingtonians.
ArtsWA values diversity, equity, and inclusion. We believe in diverse forms of artistic expression. The arts amplify voices across all populations. Access to arts and arts education should be available for everyone. The arts can and should address inequities, model inclusion, and teach empathy.
Established by Congress in 1965, the NEA is the independent federal agency whose funding and support gives Americans the opportunity to participate in the arts, exercise their imaginations, and develop their creative capacities.
Through partnerships with state arts agencies, local leaders, other federal agencies, and the philanthropic sector, the NEA supports arts learning, affirms and celebrates America’s rich and diverse cultural heritage, and extends its work to promote equal access to the arts in every community across America.
